Welcome to the Jungle.

So...
Last week I watched Regis & Kelly for the first time in months, and Joan Allen was there chatting them up, discussing her new movie, Death Race. Because this movie stars my boyfriend, and because I haven't posted about him in over 3 weeks (I know, right?), I had to take a moment to share this little bit of deliciousness with all of you. Here's how it played out:

Kelly: And Jason Statham is in this movie with you, right?
Joan: Yes, and he is just really lovely. Just perfect to work with.

[Lula: Oh, Joan...you speak so kindly of him. I now love you even more!]

Kelly: I just love him!
Regis: He is quite the action star, isn't he?

[Lula: Yes, Reege...he is MY action star. Let's keep this straight, shall we?]

Kelly: But Joan, you know what I love about him?
Joan: (Not caring a bit that her interview is being upstaged by my boyfriend) Aside from his looks?
Kelly: (laughing) Well that, but does he not smell so good? I mean, that is one good-smelling man!

[Lula: OF COURSE he smells good, Kelly. And get your bony little nose away from my man, or I will take you. I will take you down, woman.]

If Joan responded, I certainly didn't hear it. I was too busy trying to imagine his yummy-smelling self.

There you have it. Like my husband, my boyfriend is an incredible olfactory experience. I will smell him one day. Oh yes, it will happen.

Y'all know where I'll be on August 22.

Looks like this might be a good movie to watch, but I will wait until it comes out on DVD. He is a good actor I will admit.

Looks interesting, although I imagine it will have to wait for DVD since we don't get to see many movies these days. Thinking about how yummy he smells is a nice way to start my day!

You've got it bad girl. CILF ;) Here's a question:

The premiere of the next Lost Season, Twilight, and Death Race all come out on the same day at the same time. What do you do?!?!

Oh goodness gracious. I watched this at my desk, with hardly any sound, which intensified it, especially as he was doing his chin ups!!!! This is the 1st I knew about this but we'll definitely see it in the theatre. And I have always liked Joan Allen ALOT. Except for maybe when she was in FaceOff. She was too skinny in that one. But another fav movie! (I do hope to start on Twilight by the weekend).

Vicki--you think you are so clever, don't ya? Here's what I'd do with your hypothetical situation. There are 24 hours in the day. So I'd DVR Lost. Go see Death Race. Come home and watch Lost. THEN I'd stay up reading "Midnight Sun," which is the next book in the saga, only this one is told from Edward's point of view.

I am the queen of multi-tasking. Whatcha gonna throw at me next???

So Yummy!

You know though, I love when Sean Green imitates him in The Italian Job, it's dead on.

Well, we read books with the teenage girls...why not see a movie with the teenage boys? We saw a preview to this before Mama Mia. I think that it was strange to see a preview to this before a girly musical...but then again...with HIM in it...maybe they got it right after all.

My boyfriend is a complete movie freak, so I am sure we will see this one. I've seen several with 'your man' in it. He's a great actor, but his voice is spooky to me :D

Every time I tune in to Regis & Kelly, I think of Regis & Kathy Lee. Have you seen her in the 4th hour of the Today show? I'm not sure what to think! OK, OK, I'ma gonna try the Twilight Series--8 hundred gazillion million folks can't be wrong, right? And BTW, Uncle Lynn is guesting on my blog today, so please stop by!

I love that Guns N Roses song. This movie looks pretty intense...intensely awesome, that is. I don't know your boyfriend, but he's pretty darn cute, I agree. I like his accent.

That movie looks to scarey for me to see ... I need a nice romantic comedy.

I have to say he looks like he smells good. And he talks real sweet.

Was that totally creepy tatooed guy in the background? I can't think of his name but he always plays the totally creepy tatooed guy in all the bad ass movies. You know, that one tatooed guy.

Help me on this. Or does everyone call him totally creepy tatooed guy.

Will you still be my friend if I tell you I have never heard of Death Race, Joan Allen, or Jason Statham?

As Paris Hilton would say...that's hot!

You must have a lot of restraint if you just want to smell him.

Thanks for the vote of confidence concerning Oprah--but how do we do it? Do you have any suggestions? Connections?? Come on, Lula, you're not holding out on us, are ya? :)

Do you think he uses Bonne Bell Dr. Pepper Lip Smackers, too? And if so, can he get the tube on steroids that I keep trying to find for you?

Oh, I can't even tell you how many times I watched The Transporter and The Italian Job because of him. I would totally love to smell him.

I watched this preview and can I say I think it is hilarious to think of a Southern Peach as yourself at this movie....you look more the Steel Magnolias type....

Oh good NIGHT!! He does have IT doesn't he? I just adore him.

He is one large plate of yummy. Hope you don't mind me saying so!

I agree that your boyfriend is total eye candy at its best. However, that said, I won't even try to compete with you for him. I acknowledge that you would take me in a smackdown, even though I'm almost positive I would beat you in the height category. I'll settle for another little bit o' eye candy. His name starts with Hugh and ends with Jackman. He can sing, dance, act, AND he has an accent. Oh, and I'm sure he smells delish.
