In Which He Negates The Previous Declaration.

I have been absent from the blogging world. Because I have been at the beach. Praise be!

A few weeks ago my husband was all, "No more pics of the girls on your blog!"

And then I did a beach photoshoot of the girls. At the beach. And my husband was all, "OK, you can put pictures of the girls on your blog." I knew that by being the respectful wife I vowed to be on our wedding day, I'd win out. Who says being a submissive wife is being a doormat? Not me. 'Cause I won. The end.

Sisters, sisters...there were never such devoted sisters...

I'm here to keep my eye on her...

Caring, sharing, every little thing that we are wearing...

Lord, help the mister...who comes between me and my sister...

And Lord help the sister, who comes between me and my man!

And by "man," of course they mean Daddy!

Thanks to Irving Berlin for writing the quintessential song about sisterhood. Also, thanks to my parents for loaning me their ancient camera, because I am a doofus and left my new one at home. (Someone's getting a new digital camera for Christmas...is all I'm sayin'...one that's from this half of the decade, that is!)

So...
What did y'all do this summer?

Absolutely adorable! Glad you're allowed to share again.

Also, you made me smile because my sister and I sing that song together all the time (or quote it back and forth.) (Ok, so I know probably tons of people do that with that song, but I still find it special.)

Those are gorgeous pictures. Your girls are beautiful and your husband is adorable. Lucky you!
Do your girls go back to school soon?
Miss you. xo

PRECIOUS!! Love the one of Caroline with her dress tucked into the undies.

What did I do this summer? Hmmm...let's see...I tried to keep my big pregnant A** indoors so that sweat would only pour from certain pores in my body rather than from all of them.

And I missed you.

so adorable! i love the white dresses. I went to the beach twice, once in Mexico and once in North Carolina. And I sewed. A lot.

I knew you'd win that one.

These girls of yours are simply gorgeous. I love their haircuts! Good job on the pictures...priceless.

We missed you while you were sunning it up on the beach.

Glad you're back.

Next stop, the mountains. And you'd better not forget your camera.

p.s. You know what we did this summer, since it was you we came to visit. Did you get my card?

The girls look gorgeous in their white dresses. What is it about the beach that demands a white dress?

And this summer? We spent it at the pool. And my legs are still a blinding white.

Why do dresses look good at the beach...and white legs, not so much?

Those girls are absolutely stunning in their white dresses. The blond hair just makes it perfect.

Okay, our summer has been nothing short of packed full of driving and not sleeping in our own beds. Girl, I cannot tell you how good it feels to be back home. I love to go away but readjusting to normal life is hard after being away.
We spent quite a bit of time at the beach. We spend the 4th at Flagler beach which was my favorite thing we did this summer. My BFF and her family joined us. It was certainly the highlight for me. Then there was youth camp, VBS, lobster trip, and, oh yeah, a week sans kids at home. That was great, but very weird. As hard as parenting is, it felt like a very empty house when they were gone.....

You did a great job with the ancient camera, or your subjects beauty just couldn't be hidden.

I'm leaning towards that second part.

Such sweet little ladies. I have two boys and seeing these photos makes me wish that I had a little girly to put in a sweet white dress and frolic on the beach. Instead I will be trying to talk my boys out of wearing Spongebob T-shirts in family photographs.

I found you on SITS and I'm so glad that I did. Please stop by and visit my Blog. Be sure to say hi before you go.
